Thank you for a fantastic conference!
Friends of the Examined Life Conference, Dave and I wanted to take a brief second to say Thank You for an incredible conference. We are still buttoning up the final details and mostly rested up, but the great atmosphere and passion you all brought to the conference still remains. Thank you again.
We’re already talking about where we go from here, thinking about next year’s feature presenters, and thinking of ways for the 11th annual Examined Life Conference can be even better, so if you have any thoughts, be sure to let us know.
After all, we know that there are many of you out there who would love to keep the conversations going throughout the year, share your creative work and maybe network to hopefully spread the world about the medical humanities. To that end we have created forums on this website to make this possible. Follow the link or look on the menu bar above to get there, sign up, and start posting.
We’ve created a few topics and sub-forums, but those are just to get things rolling. We need you to get in there and start using it. This group is so passionate about their work and as Rita Charon said during her keynote a few days ago, this is a movement and we are the grassroots. Let’s band together and talk.
You know how the saying goes, “If you build it, they will come.” This is Iowa, after all. Well, we’ve built it. Hit that link and let’s go.
Thank you again for an amazing few days and we look forward to seeing you all again next year. Save October 12-14 on your calendars.
