A toast to a successful conference, and 2019 dates

tired but happy photoWell, it’s the Monday after we wrapped up The Examined Life Conference for 2018, and I (Dave) couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.  So, first and foremost, I wanted to reach out and thank our amazing presenters for their hard work. I’ve received several emails in the past day or so commenting on the great topics and presenters, which is tremendously gratifying.

Our tentative dates for 2019 will be October 24-26.  I don’t know yet when we’ll be sending out the call for presentations, but if you’re on our email list you’ll be the first to know.  While you wait and think about your potential presentation, if you have any suggestions for feature presenters we’d love to hear about them.

If you took any photos during your time here, I’d love to see them and show them to others.  You can share them on social media with the hashtag #artismedicineisart, or send them to me directly at david-etler@uiowa.edu.

Finally, I hope you’ll share us with your colleagues and friends.  I get a big kick out of hearing from new attendees that they were glad they came, and it would be lovely to meet even more new people next year.

With that, Jason and I are off to hibernate for the winter.  See you next October!
