The Examined Life Virtual Conference — Registration is open!

Hello!

We are thrilled to announce that registration is open for the 2020 Examined Life Conference! The University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine will host our 14th annual conference focusing on the links between medicine and the arts virtually this year with a la carte registration – this means you can build your own individualized conference program.

We will feature a refreshing and relaxed atmosphere to take skill-building workshops and inspiring presentations from people working to forge that integration. You’ll leave with a new appreciation not only of your art, but of your work (and even your struggles).

A-la-carte Registration: Due to the novel coronavirus, 2020 will feature a series of virtual sessions, and you’ll build your own program by selecting individual events to attend. Opening weekend (Oct. 8, 9, and 10) will feature 9 sessions; more sessions are available throughout October and those will be added to the registration site in the coming weeks.

We’re also thrilled that our featured speaker event with Dr. Rana Awdish will be free and open to the public. Please tune in via Zoom at 5:30pm on Thursday, October 8th for this exciting event! And check out her award-winning memoir here:

We’re looking forward to seeing you all online, and stay tuned as more events are announced!
